Unique structures
Early civilizations had to be creative when building their homes. They had to be useful of what resources surrounded them, which is why different communities had different homes. Two of the most interesting architectural structures over the past centuries are the mammoth-bone house, and the classic pyramids. Although these two are both really unique, they have many differences. These two structures were built with two completely different materials. While the pyramids are less complicated looking, they took more of an effort to build than the mammoth-bone houses.
First of all, the pyramids are very spacious, while the mammoth-bone homes are small with limited space. The mammoth-bone homes are very funky and different-looking. These structures were built out of bones from mammoths. The skull would be placed in the front of the home. While the appearances of the pyramids are very simple, they were more difficult and took longer to make. The material to make the structure of the pyramids were a lot easier to come by and much safer. The mammoths had to be killed and skinned in order to make the structure of the home. The pyramids were closed in and had no real good source of air circulation, while the mammoth-bones structure was open so air can flow though.
The early civilizations used what they had to build their homes and structures. Each community had different ways and styles of building, due to their environment. Two really different architectural structures are the simple-looking pyramids and the funky mammoth-bone homes. The mammoth-bone homes were made by humans risking their lives to get the bones of a mammoth, while the pyramids were built from a sand-like mixture, and took years to build. Although the pyramids were very spacious, the mammoth-bone houses had a better air circulation.
